I have a kicker 2500.1 mono amp. I did have a kicker solo x that I hooked up to it. I have since taken it out because I do not want a big @SS solo x in my mustang. Is it possible to hook 2 subs up to that amp since it is a mono amp. Thanks for the help.

 

it depends on the sub and the amp but yes it is possible. You will need to know what the minimum impedence(ohms) the amp can play and get the correct subs but it can be done.

 

I looked it up and I believe it can do 2 and 4 ohm The subs I want are these:

2 of ----->JL AUDIO 12W3v3-4ohm
The box I have fits in my 08 gt and has a mounting depth of 6.5 inches. If there is a better sub out there that you may know of that would work I would be very greatful to check it out......

 

two single voice coil 4 ohm subs can be wired in parallel to let the amp see a 2 ohm load.

The only complaint about jl is the price but if you have the means I recomend them............
