Default touch screen installation

Hey guys i recently bought an XOVision touch screen, 7" and I took it to best buy and they told me that with my shaker 500 that the installation would be around 300 because the shaker wasn't meant to be changed out. I call bs on them but who knows...Does anyone know if this is true or not?
Thanks

i dunno, ive always heard that if i would want to switch out my MACH 460 headunit that i would have to switch out my speakers too, and vice versa. something about the system doesnt like either to be changed?

eh, who cares, i never listen to my radio anyway. i listen to my exhaust, hella lot better than the 460!

Page 2 of my cardomain site shows how to install a deck into a mach system. With a little tweeking it can sound much better then the stock deck with the factory speakers.

Full of sh*t. My car came with the shaker 500. Its been sitting in my closet for over two years now. I personally have an Eclispe AVN 5500.

I agree with your call
It's a double din right? If they weren't meant to be switched out then there wouldn't be aftermarket products for sale in the first place....

Take it to a good local audio specialist around you...the more mom and pop (mostly pop) the store appears the better things seem to be

good luck
