Default Viper alarm system

i just bought a 2006 gt and it has a viper alarm system installed.

Recently the battery wires were disconnected and now the alarm doesnt make the beeping noise when locked or unlocked. Someone said to disconnect the alarm wire from the battery and it will reset, is that true? i was also told that there should be a reset button hidden somewhere, true?

do the doors lock/unlock? Is the led on constant rather then flashing?

If so then Your in valet mode.

there is normally two ways..

one if you know where the little black momentary push button is, you push it in with the key on and hold it while turning the key off.

The other way is to open the door, push button one(top left for 1 sec), push button 2(top right for one second), and then push button 1 for a second also. The car will lock the doors once and flash the lights on the first push, it will unlock and flash the lights 2 times, and the third push it will lock the doors and then the led will turn off. At that point the alarm will be in its normally function mode.

you need to know where that button is to turn the alarm off if you ever have the remote malfunction. With a combination of the key and that button you can turn it off
