Electronics question.
I have a flip face Kenwood in my coupe. It will completely flip backwards when the key is off. Tilt to change a CD and face forward when the key on either ON or on Accessories.
Basically I'm looking to keep it forward or closed. Here is a scenario. Arrive at my destination and want to stay in the car to listen to the radio. Turn the key from ON to ACC. The face will start to close, then start to open. Needlessly flipping back and forth.
To make it ignore that second of no power can you recommend something like a capacitor to keep power to my ACC wire for a few seconds. If so, what size?

a cap would help but I have no idea what size to tell you. Chrystler does something like that on their cars as on many of them if you switch out the deck, it will remain on for 5-10 secs after the key was off.
you also might have to rewire it a little. There are really 2 different types of ignition wires. A "true" ignition wire will have no power with the key off, and WILL have power with the key on and in the cranking position. This goes to vital accesories like you fuel pump, dist and other items. The radio is connected to an ignition wire that cuts power while the engine is cranking to start. If you were to rewire it to a true ignition it may help.
