Question Need help installing new radio into '96 mustang

I have a sony cdx-gt32w and im tryin to install it in my '96 mustang. I have the mach 360 or 460 system. It has the radio/tape player and cd player seperate. The radio/tape player has one terminal for the power, ground wire, etc. It also has 2 giant grey terminals. They have 8 wires in each. I couldn't find any connectors or adapters for them so I cut them off and im gonna wire them myself. I just need to know how. I have a wire connector for the main wires but not for the speaker wires. This is my first time installing a radio. I know the basics of wiring just not which wires go where because these gray bundles of wires have tiny wires, not normal size so I don't know how to or what to do with them. Please help!

welcome to the forum, MAN YOU F'D UP................

Page 2 of my cardomain page shows how to integrate a radio into the mach systems including the model numbers of the hrns's you needed to do it. These would have cost you $30 at most and you could have installed the deck in 20 mins.

If you cut the amps input cable(the small black square one with all the little wires) then you are pretty much screwed and will end up not being able to run the door subs. You can still run the 2.5" tweeters but they are not good for anything but treble and sound like crap with a full range signal.

Let me know which cables you cut and we will see what we can mop up from this mess......

ehhehe...lol...lol... I'm not laughin at your situation Dominic I just love how ttocs puts it in perspective. I've been designing audio systems for decades and stumbled upon his CD page my first visit to this site and bookmarked that badboy. That couple of lines should be a sticky because for most folks who are just gonna run a new headunit prolly make that same mistake time and again.

Thanks man, after checking out your page that is a hell of a compliment. You like screens huh? Good work and welcome to the forum. Doing some research for your new project? Whatcha got planned? let me know if I can help.

Dominic I hope my blunt answer did not come off as rude. After helping people out for years combined with my dislike to type my answers are short and to the point. If you were a customer infront of me I might have said something more gentle but this is still something that can be fixed. We were all a that point at some time and the good news is that you only do something like this once.......
