Well, my 4-spkr setup is all muddled mids but my $$ R tite so this is what I just decided on to get things rollin.

Pair of Polk MoMo 6x9s marked down from $199 to $69 at crutchfield while supplies last. All user reviews say these mmo690s are rock solid with plenty of bass punch when amped and they say you can't go wrong at the $199 price so at $69 + $7 ship brand new I decided to go for it.

Profile ap600 100w x2 amp at crutchfield $109. All 32 user reviews say this amp is great at the price - some reviewers had the thing over a year and loved it - has high and low pass, preamp and line level making it versatile. Ordered at amazon for $64 + $9 ship brand new so m willin to risk as to wether it lives up to user hype or not.

Both pieces out the door for about $150.

Next going to replace door spkrs with infinity to give good mid/treble up front.

I m not really a "rattle yer neighbors windows and delete yer trunk n back seat" sub kinda guy so I think this setup will be all I need for spkrs.

Then a good DD DVD HU but probably not til after next stimulus check or next year...
