Default Are these any good?

my buddy owns a shop and wanted to sponsor me. i don't know anything about stereo equipment really but he mentioned he would throw a pair of Clif Design ADW 10's, PPI amp with a box for 600 bucks... custom box in the trunk spare tire space with plexiglass covering it up and wrapping the trunk in vinyl. are these good quality speakers or even a good deal? i'm meeting his brother at the shop in 3 hours to talk more about it and see what we decide on...

I know Alphasonic went out of business a LONG time ago.

But, as far as I know, Audiobahn is still making quadrillions selling their chrome lined series.

didn't go through with it... still seemed like a lot of cash for what they wanted to do with the car.. speakers ended up being the CD102d4's? i'm just going to go with someone who does work from their home and charge me a lot less for the same kind of setup.. hope it works out ok. my cousin knows someone who does this type of stuff from home. has his license to open up a shop but hasn't opened one up just yet...
