Default Head unit wiring questions

Hi i just brought a 1990 Mustang 5.0 with 95,000 original miles. The read out on the stock head unit is shot and i cant see any radio stations plus it only has an a track tape lol But i have a pioneer head unit out of my old car which i want to put in my mustang. I tried to do it and purchased a splice kit so i didnt have to cut the stock wires incase i ever wanted to put the stock head unit back in. Now i have power to the head unit but i have no sound at all. Can anyone help me? maybe tell me how to directly splice the sound connects into the car like instead of usin the splice kit ill just cut the stock connector and connect it. can anyone give me a diagram of the stock wires? i need help very badly i have done this before in beemers and fords and other cars but i just cant figure out the wiring in the mustang and i dont want to cut anything not knowing if i should or not. PLEASE get back to me as soon as possible.

What the heck man? You fixed the display problem didn't you? You want sound and a display????

is there a stock amp under the radio? It looks like an octagonal metal box with a bunch of holes in it. If so then make sure you have the decks remote turn on(blue or blue/white) hooked up to the hrns's amplifier turn on(blue/white). If there is no amp then make sure that none of your speakers are grounded out as most decks will turn the amp off to protect the amp.
