Default 2001 stock CD player problems

Last night i had to disconnect my battery for the chrome gauge bezels i was installing. Well ever since i have reconnected my battery, my 6 disc changer will not let me play cd's or even eject them out of the player. It just makes this buzzing sound anytime i push the CD button. Also if i turn my radio off it will make the buzzing sound, and everytime i start my car it will keep buzzing for about 10 seconds. Any help on this??

the loading/unloading mechanism has always been the weak point in fords cd players as they end up failing sooner then later. You can try to take it apart and re-align it but I would just get my disks out of it and get a new player....

lol i love being able to have 6 cd's handy at my disposal, so i'd hate to see it go. What are some good replacement options for it?

yea I know but I think they program the decks to lock up after they realize they have you 6 best disks...... You can put almost any deck in that you want so it is up to you and your personal preferences as to what is best. I like alpine and jvc personally and have had good luck with them.
