Default Shaker 500 problem; Won't turn on , but will eject CDs.

My Shaker 500 in my '06 Mustang has been trouble free until now. For some reason the stereo won't turn on but if I push the button to eject CDs, the display will light up and ask me to pick which CDs I'd like to eject and I can take them out. So, I guess its still getting power. I was wondering if it might be a fuse issue. Any suggestions?

that would be my guess. STart simple and check the fuses. Don't bother getting out your manual, figure out which section the fuses are in, trying to figure out which fuse it might be, then trying to find that same fuse. Just go in and start pulling fuses one at a time and checkin them until they are all checked. It only takes a min or two to check all of them and it is funny how it might be a fuse that had no relation to the problem.

mine has done it before. The middle plug in the back slipped out after I hooked up my ipod adapter. I checked my connections and made sure they were seated properly and it worked out. I would un plug it and plug it back up. works with every problem I have ever had with it.

+1 to fuses that have no relation to the problem I hate that s**t....But sounds like you are missing switched power if the radio is still ejecting cds.... Start with the fuse block inside the car, that is where most of your fuses are for accessories that work only when the car is on.

Default Thanks

Thanks for all the responces! I found out it was the connection in the back of the head unit. I must not have snapped it in good enough. I installed a PS2 in the Mustang and had to take everything apart because I wanted to put in an FM Modulator so I could play the sound though my system. Everythings working great now. Thanks for your help!
