Default Door Subs Replace

i have some kicker 8'' midbass to put in the door (08 must.) but it a signle coil and the factory is dual coil, can i tie the speaker negative wire together and the postive wire together, i'm running the factory amp

I wouldn't recomend it. You really need a good amp to push anything bigger then an 8 and the factory amps are made to work with the factory speakers.
