Sound System
I'm thinking of installing a sound system in my 66' Coupe. I'm actually restoring it, but I'm almost done. What remains to be done, is ordering an alternator. I've got two small(ish) Roadmaster speakers on the top of the back seats, and I'm ordering two large speakers to put on the front kick panels. I'm thinking of possibly adding two more 6 1/2 inch speakers, and a subwoofer. How big of an alternator would I need, in terms of amperage? I'm thinking of putting in a 95A, but I might move it up to 130A. Any input would help. Thanks.
EDIT: These are the kick panel speakers that I'm putting in: http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/ite...atKey=EMUSTANG
Will this fill up the car with sound?. I'm not sure what the speakers on the top of the back seats are, but they work pretty well. They were there when I bought the car.
Would I need a subwoofer, or would those suffice? I don't really listen to any rap, but I'd like the added bass.
Any help would be much appreciated. I know nothing about speakers, or wiring. Thanks

Preal to the rescue.
You can run a couple small amp off of the factory alt but your voltage will bounce around a little at idle.
In my car I have e 5.25"' comp set in some kick panels I build with around 60 watts per channel powering them.
An eclipse CD player in the dash.
I also have 2 12's in the trunk with around 50 watts to each and a couple 6.5 midbass drivers on the rear package tray (low crossed at roughly 500 hz).
The stereo has a ton of volume but lacks some of the midrage clarity I am used to in some of my newer cars.
If you are looking into decent sound with some bass get a setup like this...
6.5's in front kicks and in the rear package tray.
Power them with a small 4 channel amp
Get yourself a 10' or 12" woofer and run around 150 watts rms to it.
If you have an aftermarket CD player, you could run your rear speakers off of the HU and get a single 4 channel amp for the fronts and subs.
I typically don't recommend rear speakers and do not run them full range in any of may cars, but if you are not a sound quality freak you should be very happy with a setup like that mentioned above.
If you need some recommendations on brands and installation, let me know.
