Default Bluetooth Microphone

I ordered a new head unit to replace the HU in my Shaker 500 (have an 08 GT). It has a bluetooth mic for the hands free phone. It comes with 16.5 feet of cord. Where should I put it? I'd like to put it up by the visor, but cannot figure out how to get it there. Does the trim by the A-pillar just pop off?

Should I go at it from the passenger or driver side?

is it a vert or hard top. i usually put them on the headliner right in front of the driver seat like use the clip that comes with it on the edge of the headliner cause its gonna have to face your mouth to get a good pick up and i have seen ppl do it on the steering column but they usually pick up noise on the other end. all my bluetooth installs look good and work perfect

if the cable is small enough you can often just tuck it behind the plastic. If you go on the passenger side you can drop the glove box and it should be a little easier.....

Notice the black thing next to the drivers vent in the center. That is my bluetooth microphone. You can easily hide all the wire from the bluetooth unit where you mount it, to that part of the dash. Close enough so everyone can hear you, far enough away that it's out the way. Double sided velcro works wonders on holding it there.

I have a coupe too. I thought about putting it near that same vent but figured it would blow across the mic and cause wind noise. I live in Texas and A/C is always on!

In the middle of the headliner right above the rearview mirror.....The mic should come with a bracket that lets you clip it on to the headliner and just hind the wire in the headliner and down the A pillar.....I try to put them as far from a speaker it helps to keep it from getting the echo sound on the other end.....

After looking at it closer I was thinking about putting it in the same place! Did you run the wire down the passenger side or the driver side? Do I need to pop off the trim on the A pillar? It looks like I could tuck the wire under the trim w/o taking it off.

^ Drivers side is the side I normally run the wire down it really doesnt matter....The a pillar- it is easier to run it if you pop it off, but you should beable to tuck it behind the pillar if you dont fell like pulling it off.
