Default 200 Amp Alternator

I have ordered a new 200 amp alternator because my original one died and it wasn't powerful enough to power the sound system I had installed. I was wondering since the new alternator is so much larger amp wise is there any cables I need to replace to deal with it. Thanks.

From his stickey

HISS!!! WHAT ARE THE BIG 3!!! AHHH!!

The BIG 3
[ol][*]The Altenator to the Battery[*]The Battery to the Chasis[*]The Engine ground to the Chasis[/ol]
The changing of these 3 wires to a larger guage can not only help your electrical system, but it can benifit you in any competition you may enter.

Keep this in mind when deciding what awg to choose, always look at the power charts of your amp, and if it requires 4 awg then use no less than 4 awg. Use 2 awg if you can, and if you are feeling nutty, go all out and use 0/1.

do NOT get the cheapest 200A off of ebay(don't ask how I know), and you will certainly need to upgrade at the minimum the wire from the alt to the battery but big 3 would be better.

Is there any place I can get the big 3 online at? Or should I just go to a local store to pick them up. Thanks for all the help.

Go to a local car audio store. They should have rolls of it.
