Default HID's for wifey

My wife has a 2000 Mustang, and I want to get her H.I.D.'s for the car. The light in her car might as well be candle lights, they are sooooooooooo dim. My question is, what is a good kit? I have heard www.xenondepot.com is a good company to go with, but would like some personal opinions. Also, is the bulb # 9007 ????? Thanks for any help.

I have a kit on my 95 stang made my HIDPLUS, but they had a recall, so I don't think you can get them anymore. Most of the kits you can get have Hella ballasts, which are supposed to be one of the best out there. I have a kit on my integra made by MECCATUNE and they use Hella ballasts and they are great. Just make sure you do research on the color light you want. Most kits are plug and play and take like 20 minutes to install. The bulb should be a 9007, and you won't have high beams anymore. You won't need them with the HID's. I would suggest to do a search on the technology behind HID's. You'll learn what you need to to make an educated purchase on a kit. Don't spend too much either. I spend about $350 for each of my kits and I had my mustang kit for about 2 years and my integra kit for 1 year-no probs yet-knock on wood...

Isn't it illegal to put HID's in a car that doesn't have them stock?

technically, they are for off road use only, so yes. But off road h and x-pipes are also. I have never been questioned for my HID's on either car, so Im sure they'll be ok
