and decided on trying to install it myself. i have the stock mach 460 headunit and read that i need a line out converter. i see a lot of different ones and wanted to know what the difference is. or can i just use http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...+Adapter.html#

you are going to use the stock deck?

 

you would be more happy with an aftermarket deck rather than fiddling around with that converter. Because later on your going to want more and that stock headunit just will not cut it. Be smart and put/save up your money for a new headunit and dont buy that converter
You are choosing a good store at least! I wouldnt buy package deals anymore but if its your first time I guess its a good starter.

 

I was looking to keep the stock headunit. i dont really want much more than that.

As for the package its all i really needed. its small. and came with the wiring and no need to really match things up.

 

i was looking around for a slight headunit upgrade and was wondering it getting something like http://cgi.ebay.com/CLARION-DUZ385SA...3%3A1|294%3A50 and if it would be an ezer install without a line out converted and give me more room for subwoofer upgrades later on. i kinda want a double din because i dislike the way single dins leave the open space
