Default Component (front) Speakers in 1967 ?

Where should I mount component tweeters in a 1967 Cougar (or Mustang) ?

I already have the kick panels for the 6.5 ...

alot of people will try to move the tweeter as far from the woofer as possible thinking that seperating the signal is good but in reality you want the tweeter as close as possible to the woofer and pointing in the exact same angle. You might be able to surface mount the tweeter around the woofer as long as you have a clear line of sight to the tweeter. Try not to let the steering colomn or anybodys feet or legs get in the way and try to put the tweeters as from from your ear as possible.
