Unhappy newly installed speakers are clipping

in the past few days i upgraded my sound system. my '02 mustang has the mach 460 in it. the right door speaker blew a few weeks ago so i replaced the doors with a these http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1198286346957

in the trunk i added a 1000w crunch amp and a diamond d1 12" sub. i used a line in converter through the rear speakers and i didn't screw with any of the amps or previous wiring. everything sounds great until i the volume gets about 50% the new speakers start to clip. the play for a split second every 4 or 5 seconds. can someone help me with this problem? what do i need to do/buy to fix this problem?

thank you,

My dads are doin the same thing. The answer i got was, It is because the speakers you bought are probably 4 ohm and the amps are made to work with a 8 ohm speaker.

I have 2 sets of components coming in that i am going to replace the speakers with and just run them off deck power(alpine IDAX 305) for right now any way.....

good luck

just as he said you replaced an 8 ohm, low frequency woofer with a 4 ohm, full-range driver which makes the amp unhappy. If you have replaced the deck then you can easily bypass the factory amp to make it sound better. If you want to keep the factory radio then you will need to buy an amp to power these, as well as another LOC.

check out page 2 of my cardomain page. You will need to wire the deck into the bypass harness that I point to on that page. After that you will need to once again remove the speakers, and then wire them into the wire that powers your tweeter. It is a bit of a pain but easier then running new wire to the doors to bypasss the amp

Default new idea

okay, so i thought over the weekend about this problem that i've been having with these speakers. as an alternative to replacing the head unit, could i run my door speakers off the 1000w amp i have in the trunk? if so what all would i need to buy, how could i go about doing it?
