man I know I replied on this one other time.............

How is your deck wired into the mach system? Page 2 of my cardomain page shows how I did it but there is more then one way.

What do you have the bass and loudness set at on the deck? Probably up almost all the way right? The problem is the factory subwoofer amps like a higher voltage signal then most decks put out. To compensate for this people turn the bass up which the tweeters just cannot handle. By adding the caps to the speaker wires you will take the bass out of those speakers and as long as they are not blown you should be happy.

Replacing the woofers is not as simple. IT will require you bypass the mach amps and do a little rewiring but it is not rocket surgery. The caps are put on bu simply cutting one of the speaker wires going to the speaker(normally the pos). You then attach one end of the cap to one wire, the other end of the wire to the other side of the cap. You can't wire them wrong and they will even work if you put them on the negative speaker wires.

on my HU i have the bass at 0 (flat) but it STILL puts out a ton of bass, mids are set to 0 (flat) as well and trebble all the way to the max

this is the only way i can even hear anything but bass, kind of strange

and i do not have factory subwoofers, i only have the mach460 system, not mach1000; my woofers are kicker 12s

as far as how my HU is set up into the mach460 system, i am not sure....i had a wire harnes from crutchfield and i just installed it that way, then connected the rca from the subs/amp to the HU and the anntenna and whatnot

somebody wants to get to 50 posts really fast. Probably has something to sell, or at least is going to act like there is something to sell.

Don't limit the potential by useing the factory amp. Don't even waste the time!
