Default retractable antenna

i forgot we had this section over here, or i would have just posted it here.

Anyways, i'm looking to upgrade from my regular NASA issue antenna on my 07 to a retractable of some sort. Ive been told that this will work..

http://www.amazon.com/Metra-Universa.../dp/B0002BEUYO

Now, ive already checked, im 99% certain it will fit, but im not quite sure how i should wire it. the guy in the s197 section said to wire it using power from one of the accessories, so it can only be raised and lowered while the car is on, but automatically goes down when the car is turned off.

How would i go about do this? i have a good bit of experience with guitar electronics (amps, effect pedals) but im feeling like an idiot when it comes to car electronics.

any help is appreciated.

thanks.

im sorry for the double post over here, i would have posted here first if i knew it, i forgot this section was here. my bad..

being a standard universal antenna it will fit if you make it. I am not familiar with the look of the antenna base but the biggest problem will be making the spot where it mounted look good.

As for wiring there is a wire on the radio made to control the antenna. If you have the stock radio then you will need to look up the color code for the remote power antenna wire, if it is an aftermarket deck it will be blue or blue/white.

The OEM deck shouldn't have a power antenna wire since the car didn't come with a power antenna.
