a while back i removed the 2 subs from the trunk and left 1 amp back there to power the door speakers. i recently replaced the 2 door speakers with 2 kenwood 6x8's. the sound quality is amazing except for the fact that my bass will cut out when it gets to a certain loudness. basically i can't turn my music up as loud as i would like it because then the bass will cut out and it'll sound like ****. how do i fix this problem it's driving me nuts!

 

whats the specs on the amp and the kenwood 6x8s, do you have it on the high-pass or low-pass filter settings on the amp?

 

well its the stock mach sound system amp. i'm not good with electronics so i don't know how to change the settings or anything

 

the amp is clipping because the speakers that you installed are 4 ohm and the amp is made to run at 8 ohm.

If you have replaced the deck you can bypass the amps and the power the speakers off of the deck. I show the bypass harness on page 2 of my cardomain page.
