Default Stereo options for a 69

Hey guys I have a 69 Fastback/Sportroof and I just ordered the Deluxe door panels for it. Due to the cost on the door panels I do not want to cut holes in them. I was wondering if the best thing to do is make a custom center console (fiberglass or something else) and put the speakers in the console. That way I get sound up front without cutting the doors. Also it has the fold down rear seat so I was looking at buying one of the trap doors with the 6x9 cutouts.

Any advice on this would be appreciated. This car will definitely not be stock but I really don't want to cut the door panels.

Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

I was thinking that but I plan to put a standard transmission in the car in the future. Also I don't think I could get to my hi-beam headlight switch. Anyone seen or done kickpanels in these old cars? How does it work?

try contacting preal either on pm or on here. He was the early model expert, but I would still go with kicks. I have a manual and you can work around the high beam.
