Default Hi/Low Impedance Adapter Help

I installed one on my 2000 Mustang yesterday. I drilled it up behind the amp rack and spliced, or at least attempted to splice into the data cable that sits in that area. I unplugged it from the clip once I had the unit drilled in and I figured out what colors were negative and what colors were positive.

I spliced the negatives into the negatives and positives into the positives. Everything else is ran and ready to role, but for some reason the sub was getting no power. I am nearly certain that this has to be my problem, or something having to do with either how I wired it or what you have it.

Please help me figure it out.

No, that does not help. I had it a couple negs and positives flip flopped. But I re-wired the entire thing and for some reason I getting nothing. It;s super annoying, belittling and weird because I have the power cable ran, the remote ran, speaker cable, rcas, etc. The ground is ran as well but I noticed that it's kind of touching some rubber stuff where the nut used to be. Would this affect anything? I do not even think the amp is getting a signal.

Use a tone generator or use MP3 or ipod to rca cord to your amp to see if it gets a signal that way.Is the amp turning on?

we would need a list of the equipment to tell you if you need thicker wires or not. Did you make any sparks on the installation that could have blows a fuse?
