Default FH-P800BT turn off Int. amp good instead of 8000bt?

I just noticed that the Pioneer FH-P800BT (instead of the 8000BT) has the ability to turn off the internal amplifier. Would that make it so that I don't have to solder in the 12v-5v regulator when installing as a replacement for the Shaker 1000?
Ready to order - just wanting to see if it might be worth the money not to do the solder!

Appreciate the advice!
