Default very easy question on amp "remote" wire, please help!

Hi, i have everything hooked up in my car except for the "remote" line. Its supposed to be the wire that turns off the amp when the car is not in use; preventing the amp from staying on 24/7.

Do i simply hook up my blue "remote line" from my amp to the "amp turn on" (blue w/ white strip) wire on my deck?

this means id have to splice 2 wires and connect it to one, but i just wanted to double check! Thanks!

yep your right, the remote line tells the amp when to turn on/off. realistically, you can hook it up to anything, but yes, I would hook it up to the remote amp turn on for your radio so it only comes on with your radio.

Sweet i got it all wired up. Thanks for the help! Putting in this stereo myself has been a pretty good learning experience.

No prob dude, glad I could help. I was kinda self taught in putting in systems, it was pretty fun. Watch out though, you'll start gettin phone calls from some of your buddies to put their stereos in too haha
