Default Cobra XRS 9340 Radar Detector Q's <Undetectable?>

So i have been reading alot of reviews about how radar detectors are detectable.

And seeing how i am Canadian, and they are not allowed, and i want to know which ones are safe or not.

From my info gathered, "undetectable" via RDD and VG2 means that the detector gives off no frequency its self.

According top this web site:

http://www.dontgetcaught.com.au/FAQs.html

Only the Bel STi and Escort 9500 are fully undetectable.

My question is are these reviews old? Are most detectors safe now?

On most radar detectors i have read the specs on it says:

VG-2 Alert®/ Undetectable

Provides complete immunity and alerts the driver when under surveillance of VG-2 Radar-Dectector-Detectors.

Spectre Alert™/Undetectable

Provides complete immunity and alerts the driver when under surveillance of Spectre 1 Radar-Detector-Detectors.

I wanted to know if this means there is no chance that if i drive past a cop who is gunning me, will he get a feed back that shows i have a detector.

The 9340 model is from 2008, which isnt super old.

The reason i am asking is because i read somewhere that some detectors only shut of there frequencies as soon as RDD or VG2 is detected. By then its to late.

Reason i am asking:
I dont want to get burned.
I am just curios about the radar technology timeline here. And if there are only a few detectors that are fully undetectable.
There is a massive price gap, and i want to see if this is the reason why!

Im just trying to see if there's someone that can give me the full details. I do a lot of research before buying something. And this product can easily get me in trouble in Canada if its sending the wrong feed.

All requests saying "dont speed" or "this is why canada sucks" will been seen as a waste of your immature time.

Thanks guys i look forward to your responses!

Cobra XRS 9960G Voice Alert with GPS. and i wouldnt have anything else. Its a really amazing radar detector. I looked and looked at reviews and all that before I decided on one. This detector detects from an amazing distance. I recommend it, you can also plug in the GPS to USB and update the radar detector.

Im looking for something small and cheap that i can hide in my mustang. I cant have any visible presence of a gpa, which is why im looking for something small and cheap. I have a location that will have view of my windshield and ill be able to see the screen.

If i give the feed back to the radar then the cops allowed to search my car and confiscate it. They know to check gps, the visor dash and all those simple locations.

Im jsut curious as to if this one gives off feed back, or if it doesnt.

And if it's VG2 and RDD 'undetectable' means it will only shut down or shut off near a radar. But by then its to late.

My radar has got to be pretty nifty wired and hidden.
