Default custom gauge holder?

Ok, kinda lookin to save some cash, and i really dont like having flashy gauges, but i was thinkin:

i saw a design once on a 04 mustang, that had a Turbosmart EBC located near where the shifter is (the plastic bezel that pops out) basically on the opposite side of where the car's 12v plug is.

i was kinda thinkin, this would be a cool stealth location for a boost gauge. i have a glowshift 52mm.

was also thinkin i could remove the 12v since i never use it, and either use that as a voltage source for something else down the line and drill that hole out, and thats where the gauge would go -- or i could put the gauge on the other side (driver side)...

I've created my own pods for speakers. You could apply the exact same technique to building a gauge pod. Just read the step-by-step, and everywhere that it says "Speaker" replace it with the word "Gauge".

Additionally... It doesn't need to be on the A-Pillar, you could build this in your console or wherever you have room.

what kind of resin do you use?

hell, i might do my whole dash now! might just cover it with fiberglass, and paint it up with that texture. im kinda hating on the leather for my car.

thanks for that!

For resin, I'm not particular on brand. I can usually find Elmer's or Bondo brand for resin.
