Default all around speaker suggestions

I'm looking into replacing the speakers in my 04. No Mach system, just the basic one. I put in a Sony CDX-GT620IP with stock speakers.

HU:

I listen to a wide range of music, Hard Rock, some Rap, Pop...etc. I was looking for some decent speakers that have some bass behind them as well as clarity. Im not looking to dump a lot of money into this, just want some improvement over stock while not needing/wanting to put in an amp for the speakers.

I want "plug and play" speakers I can throw in or 6.5" if they are that much better than 5x&7 (i can make an adapter plate if need be). Im somewhat literate when it comes to stuff such as RMS and watages but was looking for input on putting a system together. If anyone could recommend a "middle of the line" speaker I would appreciate it, or a good speakers I can search around for on sale lol.

Brand and Size would be great.

I have had a ton of experience with them and I have never had any trouble and always have got great sound quality out of them, I as well listen to many different types of music at many different volumes

sorry ive been away for a little guys. thanks for the replies.

do you think getting 3 way or 4 way speakers vs "woofer" and tweeters setup would be better? i want a nice clean sound but to handle diff types of music. I was in a Mach 1 last night with a Mach system and that thing can pound...it was a 460 i believe.

i thought about fiberglassing a triangle-like mount and put a tweeter where they are on the doors on Mach systems and have my other speakers a 1 way or 2 way speaker for bass and mids.

I'm getting 5x7 rockfords and tweeters with them in the door space (fits just right) so nothing is seen. Also two rockford P3's custom mounted in the trunk sides, out of the way. The guy had a car there getting almost exactly the same setup without the custom enclosures, sounded amazing. Very loud and most important, clear.

But thats a more expensive way to go. You can do a nice sounding/decent power system with pretty much any decent brand. Infinity, Kicker, RF, Alpine, etc... I used to have a '95 cavalier with no more than 6x9s in the deck and whatever the doors were (can't remember) running on a 4 channel amp and it sounded amazing for what it was.

i had pioneer 3 ways before, not in a mustang, but an explorer. they sounded really good. added bass over the stock ones and had better overall sound range and quality - plus they could go louder, clearer than stock. so id say those would be good, but there are a lot of good companies out there.

i dont know much about speakerds and their specs. i noticed the stock 5x7's are 4 Ohm 25 Watt.

would you want a low Ohm high Watt speaker?
also ive read frequency plays a role. does anyone have a website to read about car audio. the more i understand the better ill be able to pick a speaker.

i would assume that separating the sound bw teweeters and low range/bass drivers would be better than to have it all in a single 3 or 4 way driver?

yea, splitting up the sound ranges would be better than having them all come from the same unit.

i would rather keep everything hidden, so not having to mount tweeters anywhere.

are oval speakers any better/worse than round ones? i think it would be nice to mount both my driver woofer and tweeter in the same hole as my stock 5x7 in the doors.

that being said it would have to be a smaller woofer driver and tweeter setup rather than a 5x7 and tweeter (then find a place to mount the tweeter)

talked to my friend last night, said that 6.5" components are great. he had them in a Lincoln LS and now in his G35....stuff is LOUD but clear lol but i think he has all his speakers amped along with a subwoofer

i found these, they will only be powered by my HU i listed in the first post:

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/viewc...x=100&f_58=291

i was looking between MB Quart, Kicker, Rockford Fosgate, Clarion, Alpine, Pioneer on that page. and yes i was sticking around $100 for a front setup.....then when more money comes doing rears but not in components
