Default 2010 Voice Activated Nav System

I have a question about the voice activated NAV system that has the double din sized screen. I can not find any info on this radio on the net.

Can I get it as a separate option or does it come with a package?

Also if I decide to get a used 2010/2011 is said radio available as a dealer option that I can buy later?

Last question is a double din adapter available for the GT?

Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.

Paul

I'm not sure what the dealer has for options regarding Nav...

I know the nicer Pioneer voice nav system is like $1500.00ish with rebates (I think $300.00...) I opted for 2 models down, the X910. The only thing it doesn't have is the voice for nav. Does voice for ipod and bluetooth though. The next up (920) has voice Nav...its about 3-400 less than the top model.

Check em out... http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...section=models

Now the funny part...I'm not sure if the 2011 is the same kit or not as the 2010. But the 2010 dash kit is just now coming out. This is the kit I'm getting,http://www.installer.com/item/displa...p?it=99-5823CH nice upgrade over the stock controls which are blocked by the shifter (Bad Ford!) So if the 2011 is a different setup and you go that route, you may have a hard time getting someone to install it "right".

Thanks.

Now I can feel better about not getting a car with the stock Nav and getting an after market one.

Do you know the max radio depth in the 2010. The Pioneer is 6.5 Inches depth.

Just curious.

No I don't, sorry...But I know the x910 will fit a '10. So if whatever you go with is that deep (whatever the x910 is) you should be ok. Most should be right around that size. Manufacturers tend to make aftermarket head units in standard sizes to fit almost all vehicles.

But if you're not sure, I'd call a good/ reputable audio installer ( a place that does good custom work is usually a good way to go as far as competency level) and ask. They can sometimes get you a better deal anyways. Not to mention, you'd probably want them to do the install anyways just in case.

It would suck to cross a wire yourself and fry a 1500 dollar nav lol.

I dunno when you're looking to buy but I get my install on the 12th of apr. Probably will take 2 days for everything I'm gettin done. I'll post some pics when I get it back.

The pictures would be nice.

I am not planning to buy for about a year from now. I just wanted to get all my options together before I went to buy a car.
