Default pioneer nav unit question....

just installed a pioneer u310bt nav unit and for some reason i'm getting a ton of static through the speakers... even when the volume is at 0.... any ideas of what could cause this/?? thanks

Sounds like maybe a wire crossed or touching something maybe. Is it static or is it a noise that gets higher pitched/louder when you accelerate?

It's static it seems like it only does when I'm shifting maybe it's the ground?

I'd check everything twice and make sure every wire is capped/taped. Even ones you may not be using...power ant,remote,etc..
