Default need help with wires

i am relacing an old aftermarket Head Unit with my new JVC.
I have all the little wires matched up but the yellow and the red wire.
I plugged the yellow wire which in the jvc manule says to put to 12v battery wire. so i did. i hooked it up to the red with white stripe that said 12v battery
and the red wire i plugged into a blue wire...the red wire needs a accesory terminal. (radio wont turn on) but theres also antena wire that goes to nothing...should I put the red wire with that...?

i know when i hooked this HU to my camaro, I had like 3 wires all together. does the yellow and red wire connect with more than one wire on the harness.

I have a white wire, white with black stripe
green and a green with black stripe purple and a purple with black
gray and gray with black stripe.
red, yellow, black.
those are the colors that are on the harness that came with radio.
im not sure if this helps

if you have a wire harness, they should match color to color.

he meant, do you have an aftermarket integration harness. They make hrn's that will plug into the stock wiring, and have the same color code as the one that came with the JVC. By the sound of it, you do not have a wire hrns and need to use a volt meter or test light to find the remaining power wires you need although I would question if you have the speaker wires correct too...

Oh I think I know what you mean. yeah i have a harness.
but there is no spot to put my yellow and red wire.
but there is a wire seperated that says dimmer 12v battery. should I plug my yellow in to that? the jvc book says the yellow wire needs to go to a 12v wire
and the red wire needs to go to a acessory terminal. what would this be?
