Amp Wiring
I just installed a head unit in my 1999 Mustang (premium sound), and I had to crimp the remote wire from my head unit to the remote wire from my car's optional amplifier for my speakers to work. I have a Rockford Fosgate amplifier coming in to power a subwoofer, and I know I need to wire the remote wire for this one too. What do I crimp it to?
By the way, if anything sounds wrong it's because I don't 100% understand this.

Run the new amps remote to the same remote lead. It's ok to have 2 on it. If there is a terminal on the factory amp for the remote, just hook it up there. If it runs into the amp internally, splice it in where you connected from your HU. A good way to secure it, being a 3 way connection is a wire cap and electrical tape over and around it a few times if you're not into soldering it. (it tends to come loose when its hot so use plenty) Anytime I had to use elec tape, personally I use some duct tape over it. That usually keeps it together well.
The remote just sends a low voltage signal to turn it on so don't worry about it being too much load. It's basically just a switch.

I used a Scosche harness to wire the factory amp to my HU's wire, so would I just tape the 3 wires together? Or am I going to have to dig and find the factory amp?
