um i got one. yes it hits the shifter. i have an avic z3. neither me or my wife like lookin down to view gps, movies, settings. it should be switched since we dont use the climate controls that much. i dont know what they were smokin at metra to put it down at the bottom. They should pay for stereos to be unlocked so i can pop in a movie at 50mph. lol

 

It shouldn't hit the manual shifter.

 

Exactly the reason why I didn't buy it, I'll be waiting to install a head unit when these people get some common sense and make it like the 05-09s.
