Default Just got a few killer freebies, need advice tho!

Well I'm all set to buy a 2011 mustang and woe and behold I came across a golden opportunity to get a good system started. Long story short my brother-in-law has an Xterra which had a system from DB drive, but with the subs being in a ported box it was taking up alot of trunk space. My sister wanted it out, so they said if i uninstalled it i could keep it, and a few hours in the nighttime was all it took. So now i have been blessed with two 600w 12" subs, a 1200w platinum series D class amp, and a 475 watt platinum series A class amp.

I also took out the two crossovers from his component speakers in the front but i left the speakers in there because i had no replacements and because he had commented on how much he loves the sound.

I was wondering if the crossover was useless without the speakers or if i could just buy a mid and tweeter from somewhere and use it with them. If not i have no problem buying a set from CDT or something.
Along with the major components i also managed to salvage alot of wire from the Xterra including the battery to amp and ground cables so ill see how much it can be put to use.

Here are some pictures of the amps and drivers:

I am looking to install this myself when i get the new mustang. I will be building a sealed box for the trunk. I know a thing or two about car audio and building things (like a box) but i would really appreciate any advice you guys would have to give me, and maybe some detail on how to wire these to the 2011 factory HU like with bridging and all that stuff as well as advice on what to do for front speakers.

Any help you guys have to offer would be much appreciated because i would rather not do something stupid and blow up my car lol, thank you in advance!

Nice find! The newer HU are going to be a pain in the butt most likely, unless they use a really standard wiring harness and have the audio outs for subs. In general, you'll have your speaker wiring from the HU to each of the speakers in the car, so I would leave those the same unless you want better speakers. You should really have a separate breaker for the subs, which in mine was placed in the engine compartment. The power supply is then wired from the trunk through the paneling and into the engine, where it meets the breaker and power supply. The amp plugs into that power supply, and then two wires come from the HU and go into the trunk where they plug into the amp. Fairly straightforward and very simple system. That's just one way to do it. Good luck!

I would't recomend mixing and matcing speaker swith odd componants. Each of those cross overs is desigened for only that speaker brand. Changing speakers will change the x-0ver points and how the sound.

nice score on the subs and amps +1 on the crossovers. Unless its an adjustable cross over to where u can customize its settings for whatever speakers you use. Majority of cross overs have few adjustments and are specifically made for the speakers they came with.
