Default Question on Interior lighting.

I just bought a 2001 Mustang GT

The guy I bought it from has red L.E.D. tubes under the dash and a switch wired right next to the cup holder. He said they werent hooked up, and I am wondering how I can make those work. Will I have to take off that piece behind the shift boot? and hope it doesn't break? haha

any advice would be great thanks.

It would depend... How are the power wires from the switch run? Is the switch mounted to the center console now? If so, then I would think pulling the console would be necessary... Did he mention why they weren't hooked up? Before connecting to a 12v power source make sure there is an appropriate sized fuse inline from the power source... Also check all lines to ensure no cuts or shorts are on the wires... There must be a reason it's not hooked up and I would exercise caution. You never know if you weren't the one who installed it... Be careful.
