Default Digital Camcorder suggestions?

Well I'm sick of using digital cameras to take videos with because they are terrible. I like to have access to a camcorder if I want to take car exhaust vids, or vids of anything really. We have some that record to mini cassette's but when you convert it into digital form for the computer, the quality goes downhill fast.

What do you guys suggest for a video camera. I'm looking to spend up to $200 as this is not going to be something used on a daily basis and make a living off of. Just something to take out, get a decent quality video and throw it on the computer.

Also I read to get the largest lens possible along with the highest pixel rating to get good quality.

If anyone has a camera and a video you took with it to show how it preforms that would be great. Most of the videos I take would be going onto youtube etc.

THANKS!
Dean

I think it is a little over that price range but worth checking out, the go-pro hd cameras are small and great for quality vids.

Well I started with this a Sony Bloggie.....

http://sonybloggie.com/

Then went to the Samsung F40:

I paid $150 at target for the Bloggie, then went to Sears and was able to get the F40 for $171...the $20 difference was worth it for he 65X digital zoom. The Bloggie could record in 1080, but not zoom. If you put it in 720 it could zoom. F40 only does 720 and zooms to the moon lol.

The thing I really liked about the Bloggie was that it was the same size as my cell phone. And can put it in your pocket easily. The F40 not so much.
