Bluetooth question
So i have question about bluetooth and syncing your phone to it. So I will start off by explaining what i do. First i have the headunit find the phone and when it does u select the phone and then when it finally syncs you have a passcode to enter into the headunit and then the same passcode into the phone. After this it should sync and work. Well sometimes it does and sometimes it doesnt. Lets say it doesnt work and then i'll recieve a phone call and it will come through the stereo like the phone was already synced but i never knew it was b/c it said it failed. I was also under the impression that if u got out of your car to go somewhere and then came back the phone and headunit would automatically sync. Well there again its sparatic. Sometimes i cant make a call with the headunit but then i'll get a call and it will then go through the head unit. Then as long as it the car is on the phone lists show up and everything is like it should be. This is the alpine 900 headunit. Is there something i should do
I have a Pioneer unit and as long as the phone's bluetooth is turned on it pairs automatically. I think the unit I have had the same kind of problems and it was solved by doing a software update to the unit. I would check the manufacturers website and see if they have any updates for it. I bought mine from amazon.com and for each product they have a comment section that people sometimes give good answers to common problems.. Good luck
I have the electronic package that came as an option from ford, with the touchscreen headunit. After I sinced my phone up for the first time with the passcodes as you described. All I had to do when I come back to my car is accept a "re-sync" from my phone. It's just a one button process. Maybe your system has a defect. Have you read the manual?
