I am trying to program new remotes to my remote keyless entry system on my 94 V6 and I have a question. Will any key FOB work? For example I have 2 remotes from a 2002 Ford Expedition but I cant seem to get them to program. I am getting ready to go have the batteries tested but if its not that then Im guessing its the remotes themselves, but they worked 6 months ago on the expedition. Anyone have any ideas?

 

2002 to 1994 would probably not be a match.

 

I called Ford and they said the transmitters are different so they wont work, its not the years its because the SUV and car key FOB's have different internals... So if it was a 2010 remote it would work as long as it was from a car... or so they told me
