Default Need Help with Audio Upgrades

My front speaker blew out a little while back and I thought about simply replacing it with a stock part but that would be extremely boring.

So instead I am going with the idea of replacing the head unit and speakers. I have an 06 base model with the 4 speaker set up.

All I want to do is put in new speakers and the head unit. Maybe an amp but if not needed then i'll put the money into something else. I have no interest in a lot of bass so no need for a sub. I am not sure what the best way to do this which is why I am leaning on you guys.

The Pioneer 3200 HU is what I have decided on. The issue comes down to speakers. I am not sure what the best option for my goal would be. I have looked at component systems http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500SPS6...00C.html?tp=95 and just buying speakers http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...TS-D6802R.html

What do you guys suggest?

Can you explain that a little more to me? So those speakers won't require an amp?

It's as simple as take out old speakers, install these and plug them into that back of the HU and the system will work?

the radio will have a built in amp. depending on your goals yes you could add an aftermarket amp, if you are going to use component speakers i highly recommend an amp as they are generally power hungary. If you did coaxial speakers you literally install them in the stock mounting location and if you get the metra speaker harness for an extra couple bucks they are literally plug and play. then hook ur radio up with the wiring harness for that and you are done, no wire running at all

Awesome, that helps out a lot.

I will either go with the polk db571 or the Alpine SPS-507. They are the same cost on crutchfield and reviews seem to be split on them. I will probably go to BestBuy or some another store and see if they have them there to listen to them and see what sounds best to me.
