Default 2011 Sound system working with SYNC

Basically from what I read is even with the aftermarket parts sync will not work (complete) with a new head unit. So where do I start.....A new amp and speakers? Is there limitation to what kind of amp I can use to work with stock head unit?

With our MS-FRD1 all SYNC functions are retained. What have you read and what part were they using.

You might wish to tell them their description could use some work for it on the site...

Not compatible in vehicles equipped with navigation
Retains all functions of SYNC® including:
  • Voice Recognition Music Search
  • USB
  • iPod
  • Auxiliary Input
  • Streaming Bluetooth Audio
  • Bluetooth Phone
  • Turn-by-Turn Navigation
It's also not stated or shown if the console facade is replaced when it's needed, such as with a 2011+ mustang. I assume this is for the $250 for this, but.. Site link here.

Just to clarify though, to use any of those settings or features, the headunit would need to be placed into its aux mode right?

So if your'e driving along and get a phone call... sync catches the call and you hit your steering wheel 'answer' button, to hear or do anything, you need to then quickly select the AUX input that this whole setup is connected to. To hear/do anything at that point...

Is this correct? or does it some how override everything else being played on your headunit?

You guys should really consider putting up a video on Youtube on how it works exactly so that potential customers can get an idea of what to expect.
