Well I double checked my grounds for resistance and they were all fine (avg .2 ohms). I then rechecked all wiring around the burned wire and everything looked good. As I checked the burned 6 gauge power wire I noticed that the wire only burned on section of the wire. I then pulled away the wire loom and noticed that this wire had a spliced in section of another wire (couldn't tell if it's 6 AWG or 8 AWG) and the heat shrink tubing on that piece is what actually burned. Now this leaves me wondering what Ford was trying to do hereby splicing in a section of wire. Come to think of it the same power wire harness was replaced not to long ago by Ford due to a severely corroded positive battery terminal and I do recall it being new. Must have been to short so they just cut and pasted it.
