I am looking to replace the head unit in my mustang and just want to get some ideas what some of the rest of you running in your cars. I want the in dash gps system. I been looking at the kenwood DNX9140 and the Alpine W900bt both are great units. I just need a lil advise what would be good and have worked well for others. Just let me know!!

 

I have personally been a longtime fan of alpine. But if you are dead set on getting gps I could consider kenwood since they use garmen to do thiers.

Of course depending on what year your stang is, double din can be interesting.

 

I have a 2007 GT with a shaker 500 system. I been told alpine make great headunits but there nav isn't that great. Kenwood has the Garmin

 

Speaking of double din - my stock stereo in my 2003 GT has been fubar'd for a while. Sometimes it will act normally but more often than not, when I start the car the CD player will rattle the CD around and then maybe eject it or most often just give a failure message.

I've been wanting to replace it for some time but I'm just not sure what options are out there and what sounds good with our cars. Plus I do enjoy listening to the engine and tires.

Any suggestions?

 

Oh, and I wouldn't be upset with a satellite radio option either.
