Alarm not working after radio installation
I installed my new stereo today and that seemed to go fine except for my 2 front lower speakers (by your ankle on either side) aren't working but I wasn't going to worry about that considering it took me 5 hours to install. During the process, I had to take off the negative charge off of my battery and this seemed to reset my alarm. Mind you, its an aftermarket alarm but it was installed before I had the car and I have no information on it and there is no brand name on it or anything. I had to take off and put on the negative charge about 5 times to test my connections and after the first 3 times or so I could put my ignition on accessory to test my stereo. As I got my stereo working, I attached the negative charge one final time and now the alarm seems to have reset or something and I can't turn the ignition past off... Is there a universal way to reset an aftermarket alarm since I don't have any information on mine? It's strange how it worked the first 3 times[:@] If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.
If i understand what you are saying- that the alarm is stopping you from turning the key to start the car? Well i dont think its possible, or at least ive never seen or heard of an alarm that can do this. It may sound dumb but have u like moved the streering wheel a little while trying to turn the key?
