Default Installed new head unit, only 2 speakers work

I installed my new head unit in my 02 GT yesterday and upon testing it, only 2 speakers work. They are the 2 that are on the door by the side view mirrors an I think they are the high frequency speakers. I used the schosche wiring harness specific for the mach system but it seemed a bit bootleg when i was wiring. I'm almost sure all of my connections are correct so i'm thinking i dont have the right harness. From reading this forum, ive noticed that a lot of people seem to have problems with the mach system and that it is very hard to wire. Does anyone know if i need this in addition to the standard wiring harness: http://www.cardomain.com/item/PERSVHFD3

By reading the description it definitely seems like this is what the missing link is. Here is my head unit and the wiring harness i have it running through right now:

Any advice would be awesome. thank you

I had the same problems with the adapter when I installed my HU. I noticed that the connections between the original harness and the adapter harness weren't tight so they weren't getting a good connection. See if that might be your problem.

Hm, ok I'll give that a try. Keep in mind I don't have the adapter yet I only have the basic wiring harness. I did my connections with electrical tape which I noticed kept sliding off and it seemed to suck. I also tried the little plastic connectors with the metal on the inside but they slid too. Any good ideas?

For the '02, this wiring harness should intergrate the headunit with the factory speakers and amps perfectly. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshow...number=265-790
Although it says 2000-2001, a few that have tried it with the '02 have had success.
If that doesn't work for some reason though, this should be the harness for you.

Update: I soldered the connections this time since they were falling off and now the 4 rear speakers (2 on either side) work. So i have the front top 2 (left/right) by the side view mirrors and all rear speakers working but not the 2 front lower speakers. On my wiring harness, I did not need to use one of the 3 connections since it was blue or blue/white (i forget) and brown and i didnt need either of them. For the front right and front left I think there were 2 wires coming from the amp to the CD player for each of them as opposed to 1 for all the others. I wired both of these 2 coming from the amp to the 1 coming from the CD player... Seeing as the 2 front lower speakers are the ones not working, did I wire that part wrong?

Thanks
