I put a system in my GT with a HU, 10" sub and amped Boston Acoustic SC85 5x7's. For my needs it was great.

Well new car means another system. So I'm digging into my mach 460 in my Mach1.

I plan to use the same HU and sub/amp but go better with the speakers.

HU: Sony CDX-GT620IP
Subwoofer: Pioneer DVC 10" sub running at 350W RMS @ 2 Ohms
Subwoofer Amp:MTX 4001 Mono Amp
Rear deck speakers: Boston Acoustic SC55 5 1/4" 2 way (I had these laying around so I thought I'd put them to use)
Front speakers: Boston Acoustic SC60 OR Boston Acoustic SR60


I'm up in the air between the SC60's and the SR60's I don't know if the added price of the SR60's is worth it or not. The MTX amp was picked up on the cheap side from craigslist just to power and match the sub. I want to get a small 5 channel amp to amp all speakers and sub, but those are a little $$$.

I came across the Alpine PDX-5 amp which seems great, small and compact, but still running around $500. I'll stick with the power from the HU for now and maybe throw everything on a 5 channel amp later. I COULD throw a Rockford Fosgate 2 channel on my interiors but then I lose ability to fade.

Any opinions/suggestions/comments welcome!
