Gutted mach sound system, tips
JVC double din head unit
4 Rockford 6x8's
2 alpine type e 12's
2 kenwood 720 watt 4 channel amps later....
I have everything setup and I will never buy another rockford fosgate product aslong as I live. They wouldn't work right when wired soley to the head unit so I purchased and installed a second amp to run them off of and come to find out 2 of the 4 speakers were faulty (one was actually broke as in the tweeter and wires were cracked apart and one was just messed up). I have everything fine now but I have a question again.
I am now just running vocals off the front two rockford speakers with a little bit of bass and it sounds plenty fine so instead of buying two more 6x8s I was gonna just run 2 stock tweeters in the back and run them off of the amp aswell that way I can filter the lows for those two tweeters with no problem.
They will get 60 rms each tweeter will this be a problem? What is the ohm impedance (spell check?) of the stock tweeters, cause aren't the ohm of the stock mach speakers combined with tweeters 4 ohm? If so would that make the tweeter by itself 8 ohm?
Any tips on how I should go about this? As of now since I returned the 2 faulty 6x8s I only have as follows setup: 2 6x8's running off of an 1 amp in the trunk with 2 spare channels open on that amp. 2 12" subs running off a seperate amp. No speakers going to the head unit. Still have all 4 stock tweeters. What would you do?

I am so confused on what exactly your wanting to replace, and is one of those Kenwood's powering your inside sound? Please respond
Muahaha.
BUT, IF I was you, I would replace ALL those RF speakers and start over. Sell em on craigslist if you have too.

rf makes amps speakers and they even made a head unit a while back. Speakers are normally pretty good although if you were trying to get them to work with the mach system then there was your problem. What amps are you running, you never mention the brands/models.
60 watts will probably smoke the stock tweeters unless you are carefull. The location is actually horrible for imaging as you move one speaker 2 ft closer to your ears while all the others stay the same. I use them for bluetooth but for the stereo they do not play.

I paid 100 for 2 speakers so I am stuck with those, they aren't bad but after the rear 2 broke I know worry. So I will replace the front whenever they go out (which hopefully is a long time).
Yeah one kenwood is powering the 4 inside speakers (now only 2 inside so 2 free channels available) and the other kenwood is powering two subs in the trunk.
I can either buy some cheap or clearance 6x8s to replace in the rear or just wire up two of the old stock tweeters to run in the back.

I have two kenwood kac-8405 amps. One running inside speakers and one running two subs.
I have gutted the entire mach system none of it is there anymore except the door tweeters but they are disconnected and there for looks.
