im hooking up a subwoofer amp in a 2002 ford mustang. i have hooked up the main power wire to the positive end of the battery and the other end to the amp. i think i have found a suitable spot for the ground wire but the power light on the amp is still not comin on. can anyone help me out or give me some suggestions on what it is i need to do to fix this minor problem i have on my hands?

as he said there is a third power wire that goes from the deck to the amp called the remote turn on. Also be sure that the power wire is fused 12 inches from the battery.
