Default sony 10 disc changer stopped working

I had my changer laying flat working fine, and decided to clean things up and mounted it vertically and it played the disc that was in it when i moved it and then it changed to the next disc and said error, so I put it back flat and it wont play cd's but i can hear it changeing cd's.

Did I screw it over or is it simple to fix?

start simple. Disconnect power or the hrns that goes to it, count to 5 er 10 and then plug it back in. When it gets power again it should start to make some noise and reset itself and might fix it. Sometimes they just get a little out of line and lock themselfs up.

Did you adjust the mounting from horozontal to vertical when you moved it? There is normally an adjustment that need to be made on each side depending on which way it is mounted.

its not a dial as much as a big flat plastic disk with a straight line that went across it. It should say something about vertical or horozontal labeled on it unless they make it now to where it doesn't matter. I have not done a sony changer for a while
