Can I install a double din head unit in my 01 GT without any major modifications?

 

depends on what you consider major. All you need to do is to get the double din dash piece and then there are two small pieces of the under-dash that need to be trimmed.

 

I DIDNT TRIM ANYTHING. MINE FIT GREAT JUST GOING TO NEED WIRING HARNESS.

 

Enter your vehicle info on crutchfield's website and they will tell you what fits and which mounting kit/ wiring harness to use.

 

The only problem with that is the idiot that owned the car before me cut all the factory plugs so I have a wire running from the battery straight to the radio and new speaker wire running to all the speakers, it was like this when I got the car, I would never do something so dumb,
