Default Speaker question, is it blown?

My drivers door lower speaker (mach 460) sounds like it has a plastic bag covering it and vibrating. You know how someones trunk lid buzzes with a sub? My door speaker sounds like that, but only at medium to low volume. At higher volumes the buzzing goes away.

Is this speaker in need of replacement or do you think its something in the door panel making the noise? I thought if the speaker was blown then the buzzing would get worse at higher volume, but its the opposite.

thanks

There are a couple of ways to test the speaker, the simplest is to try another speaker... even one from a home stereo should work at moderate volumes. You could also run 2 wires from your door speaker to one of the rear speakers to see how it sounds...you need to disconnect the rear speaker first.
